How do I start a Panopto Recording?

Start Panopto from within your Canvas class

1. Select Panopto Recordings from course navigation bar
2. Click on Create button
3. Select Panopto for Windows
4. Select Open Panopto
5. Make sure the Folder is the one you desire (Example: Your course folder) and that the Session Name is the name of the Session your recording  (Check your room schedule)
6. Entitle the session or accept the default date/time stamp
7. Video should be set to default camera, if no other cameras are in use
8. Mic should be NEXTAG or BUA-200 for Bluetooth headset
9. Set the defaults for presentation slides

10. Record

Click Record 5 minutes before the start of the session

Shrink Panopto

Once Panopto is going, minimize it to the task bar

After the session

From the task bar click on Panopto to bring it back up

Stop

Click Stop at the end of the session

Completed!

1) Rename if you want to

2) Click Upload

Session should start uploading--do not shut down the computer until this processing step is completed.
