IMPORTANT: We recommend that you first set up access to your TCC Student Portal to gain access to your email/O365, ctcLink and Canvas. If you haven't done so, please follow the instructions in this article: How do I login to the TCC Student Portal and my TCC Student Email?
IMPORTANT: If you have any questions about the following information please email support@tacomacc.edu.
Once you've set up the TCC Student Portal follow the steps below to activate your ctcLink account:
- Go to my.tacomacc.edu and sign into your TCC Student Portal
- Find and click 'ctcLink'
- A new page will open - at the bottom of the sign-on box click 'Activate your Account' then 'OK'
- Fill out the form with your personal data
- The 'ID Type' drop down menu should say 'ctcLink ID (new)'
- Enter your student ID number (this is also your ctcLink ID number) and click 'Submit'
- Enter your personal email - you will receive an email with a code to verify your authenticity.
- Select a security question from the drop down menu and type your answer. (The answer must be at least 6 characters and may not contain any word from the question. The answer can not contain a space in the answer. For example, if the answer is "Go Titans" you would type in "GoTitans")
- Enter your personal phone number for either the text or voice options for additional account recovery options
- Type in your password (At least 8 characters, including at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one number. Special characters may be used but are not required. Do NOT use all or part of your first or last name as part of your password.)
- Confirm your password
- Click 'Submit'
- A pop up should appear confirming your activation
- Click 'OK'
- Close out of ctcLink and the browser altogether.
- Reopen the browser and sign into the TCC Student Portal then click ctcLink to sign in.
