How do I upload an audio file using the Rich Content Editor?

Open the Rich Content Editor using one of the Canvas features which support the Editor.

Click the Video Clip icon to open the Media Comment Tool.

Click the Upload Media tab.

Choose the Select Audio File button. A popup window will appear in your browser.

Select the audio file you want to upload [1]. Click the Open button [2].

The status bar will show you the progress of your audio upload. The speed of your upload will depend on your internet connection and the size of your audio. Wait for your media to upload. Once the progress bar is full this window will automatically close.

The uploaded audio will be indicated by a link inside the Rich Content Editor.

Click the Save button to save any changes to the post made in the Rich Content Editor.

Note: When using the Rich Content Editor in Assignments, Discussions, Pages, and Quizzes, you have the option to Save & Publish. When using the Rich Content Editor in the Syllabus and Discussions pages, the Save button may appear as “Update Syllabus” or “Post Reply”.

Click the audio preview to view it in Canvas.
