How do I add annotations to media in Canvas Studio?

We can annotate our videos in Canvas studio. We can annotate headlines, text, as well as links, and hyperlinks. We can edit and delete our annotations. When someone plays and views your video, the video will pause and the annotations will show up.

We can only add annotations to our own media that we upload. If someone shares a media video recording we can add time specific comments.

To open the media annotation tool, click on the 3 dots next to the name of the recording and click and choose the annotate video option. Make sure to hit pause at the specific time point you want to add an annotation. When you are ready click on the Add icon.

You can add a headline and description for the annotation. There is also a link field that you can add a hyperlink to your annotation. Make sure to enter some display text. Click Save to save your annotation. You can then view and edit your annotation.

In the recording on the timeline itself, there is a circle icon you can click on to view the annotation.
