How to use Live Transcription / Automatic Closed Captioning in Zoom.

TCC's Zoom conferencing system now includes a feature that uses automatic transcription to turn the spoken word into text, in real-time. This feature can be used for accessibility and universal design, but should not be used for ADA accommodations.

Note: The Automatic Live Transcription feature does not work with breakout rooms.

1.  Under your profile, click on Settings

2.  On the left side, click on In Meeting (Advanced)

Using Live Transcriptions as a Participant

1.  After the host enables "Live Transcription" participants can view automatically transcribed meeting dialogue.

2.  Click on Live Transcript in the Zoom toolbar.  Choose a transcript option:

Show Subtitles - displays subtitles on the screen.
View Full Transcript - displays subtitles in real time with both the speaker's name and a time-stamp within the transcript window. We recommend this setting as best practice.
Subtitle Settings - will open a window where you can adjust the font size of both the subtitles and the chat window.
