Upgrade Phone Software to ShoreTel Connect


We recently completed an upgrade to the campus phone system at the Tacoma and Gig Harbor Campuses.

You may notice some small changes on your phone's screen:

  • The "Mode" button is now labeled "State."
  • The states are now Available (formerly Standard), In a Meeting, Out of Office, Vacation (formerly Extended Absence), and Custom.

If you use the ShoreTel Communicator to interact with your phone, an updated version of that software (now called ShoreTel Connect) will need to be installed on your college-issued computer or laptop. A video outlining the steps is provided below. A link to the ShoreTel Connect software is available. Please close Outlook before attempting the installation.

**Please Note:  All of your old settings, any forwarding, voice mail recordings (out of office, meeting, etc.)  will be retained. There is no need to redo these settings.
