The college proactively replaces its fleet of desktop computers and laptops every 4-5 years.The new computers are purchased at the beginning of the fiscal year, and replacements occur late summer through the end of fall quarter.
When a faculty or staff member's computer is on the replacement list, an e-mail is sent asking the computer's assigned user to confirm the asset tag number. Once the asset number is confirmed, more information is provided to the user to help them prepare for the replacement.
