How do I get drop-in help at the Writing and Tutoring Center?

  • Drop-in tutoring provides tutoring help on a first-come, first-served basis subject to tutor availability.
  • Arriving 10 to 15 minutes before the drop-in time will improve the chances of getting assistance.
  • Students waiting for drop-in help should sign in on the sign-in sheet and specify the subject they want help with.
  • Students are only eligible to keep their names on the drop-in list if they remain in the Writing & Tutoring Center.
  • Drop-in appointments are NOT guaranteed.
  • Check your Student Portal or call 253-566-6032 for current hours of operation.
  • On the Student Portal, the student learning centers (including the Writing & Tutoring Center) are found under the heading Learning Resources.
