Here are areas available on campus for group study:
The Library
(Bldg 7--south end)
There are 8 group study rooms or cubicles available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The group media room is located on the 1st floor.
The room is equipped with a 40” monitor, 4 computers with standard-size monitors.
There is space for up to 8 students to watch class-related DVD’s together or to practice presentations with PowerPoint or other digital media.
There is a control box so the monitor can be hooked up to a PC.
Reservations are made on the library portal.
Rooms can be reserve for up to 2 hours a day.
4 study rooms are available on the mezzanine and are equipped with 32" widescreen LCD display monitors.
Students can connect their laptop computers to these large displays in order to facilitate group work and watch course-related media.
The display interface cable and remote can be checked out at the circulation desk.
Reservations are made on the library portal.
Rooms can be reserved for up to 2 hours a day.
The Information Commons
(Bldg 16--first floor, east end)
The 1st Floor has two group study rooms available and equipped with computers and video projectors.
Height adjustable surfaces and software are also available to accommodate students with disabilities.
Students may call 253.566.5176 to reserve rooms or students can reserve a study room at the Help Desk in the Information Commons
The Science & Engineering Bldg
(Bldg 15)
The 1st floor has an “Active Learning Lab” available to groups or individuals, Mon-Fri, 7:30am-10pm, without a reservation.
Food and drinks are allowed and student lockers are available.
The room is equipped with a computer and printer.
There are group study rooms on both the 2nd and 3rd floors available without a reservation.
White boards are available in both rooms.
The 3rd floor room is equipped with a computer and printer.
