ctcLink- How To: Set up a Physical Security Key

This article provides step-by-step instructions for registering a physical YubiKey security key with your ctcLink account for multi-factor authentication (MFA). Registering a YubiKey allows you to securely verify your identity during sign-in and provides an alternative to mobile-based authentication methods.

 

Steps to Register

From the ctcLink home page, click on the Okta Portal link.

2. You may have to log in and authenticate again; then you will click on Password Settings.

3. Scroll down through your settings to get to your Security Methods and click on the Set Up button for the Security Key.

4. ctcLink will have you verify yourself again, then you will see the screen to set up the Security Key or Biometric Authenticator. Click on Setup

5. Click on the Set up button.

6. The system will ask you to create a PIN. Please make sure it is a combination you can remember (or store in a password manager)

7. ctcLink will take you back to the Security Methods, and if you now see the option to Remove the Security Key, you know that it was set up correctly.
